Encoder requirements- minimum - 32 bit microcontroller with at least
12kRAM, 96kFLASH like cortex M3 >= 20 MHz.
Encoder is frugal...640 col x 512 row parity checks are computed by help
of Look Up Table.
Decoder requirements linux,alsa, x86 SSE2 or ARMv7 NEON+VFPv3 (Not
Pi-A). cache.
any ATOM processor, Edison etc, many thin clients etc, or ARM cortex at
least A5. (many !)
decoder CPU load proportional to minimum SNR performance and search
bandwidth. something like 2000 DMIPS per 2.5kHz search BW for best
performance. A Cortex A5 is about 1.5 DMIPS/MHz . A15 is ~ 4 DMIPS/MHz.
Odroid C1 @ 1 GHz (4 cores) , Pi C, various rockchips etc anythign
designed in the last 8 years would be OK. All the MYIR products are good
like MYS-6ULX-IND ($25) .single core A7 ~ 1000 DMIPS
Can use maximum 6 cores. (parameterized) .
