Peter,

Thank you for hosting the digi for the last 10+ years - it has been
fundamental to the APRS network in Sydney - in fact a large chunk of NSW!
 For those that are unaware, the coverage of this digi is/was phenomenal
with direct paths out to Orange, Canberra and along the coast to Newcastle
and beyond Wollongong.

As one of the installers of this digi I'm still blown away by how well a
humble FM828A mobile rig with no external filters handled the intense RF
environment of the CBD, being a stone's throw from GPT and Centerpoint -
the two largest comms sites bristling with pagers.
The original installation was an FM92, however the high noise floor
rendered the digi useless, it couldn't hear anything beyond about 5km from
the site - swapped with the 828 and never looked back.

It will be sad to see this digi close, but, life goes on :-).
