[OZAPRS] No DCD on Tiny-2

Hi list-ers,


I'm having trouble getting a Tiny-2 talking to an FT-817.
Thus far I've got the PC end working fine, it signs on
and I can issue commands and get responses etc,
however I've got no DCD ...

When I power on the Tiny-2,
- DCD flashes *very* briefly then extinguishes,
- STA & CON stay illuminated for a second then extinguish,
- PWR stays illuminated.  

Now the cable I'm using is a homebrew CT-39A taken from an old PS2 keyboard, with
FT-817 pin 1 (TX)  <--> Tiny-2 pin 4 (RX)
FT-817 pin 2 (GND) <--> Tiny-2 pin 2 (GND)
FT-817 pin 3 (PTT) <--> Tiny-2 pin 3(PTT)
FT-817 pin 5 (1200 RX) <--> Tiny-2 pin 1 (TX)

I've checked the Tiny-2 internal jumpers, both are set to 1200.
The FT-817 is set to PKT and menu 40 specifies 1200.
When
 tuned to 145.175 I can hear packets but there's no indicator light activity
on the Tiny-2, even with an open squelch and audible packets
(no DCD, no nothing, just a illuminated PWR and that's it).

Suggestions, please ?
