Hi...

It also depends on what firmware is in the PK-232 as well, as the
original didn't have kiss mode, so if you have one of the early ones
then you will have to use it in standard command mode!

That said, they work nicely for bot VHF & HF packet!   I have 1
PK-232MBX & 1 PK-232 in service here.  Also there is another packet only
firmware that can be used in the PK-232, (TF-PK2.7) but then you will
loose the extra functionality like CW, RTTY, AMTOR (PACTOR-1 firmware
dependant) so I'm assuming that with all this info the short answer is
yes, but it depends what you want to do with APRS & your PK-232.
