It also depends on what firmware is in the PK-232 as well, as the original didn't have kiss mode, so if you have one of the early ones then you will have to use it in standard command mode!<BR>

That said, they work nicely for bot VHF & HF packet! I have 1 PK-232MBX & 1 PK-232 in service here. Also there is another packet only firmware that can be used in the PK-232, (TF-PK2.7) but then you will loose the extra functionality like CW, RTTY, AMTOR (PACTOR-1 firmware dependant) so I'm assuming that with all this info the short answer is yes, but it depends what you want to do with APRS & your PK-232.<BR>
