[OZAPRS] Is a SatGate worth it?

I have been using it, when travelling from Perth to Darwin in a Landcruiser 
in 2006.
It worked very well and helped to supplement the HF-APRS positions. It is 
defenitely worth the effort and I thank all IGATE operators.
However, it is an "egg or chicken" problem.
