1. The international space station is running an alias of "ARISS"

2. The APRS spec says your source should reflect the type of system you
are
originating from

3. An agreement has been made that sat stuff shall have the alias of
"SGATE"
added.

UNPROTO <your system type> via ARISS
UNPROTO <your system type> via ARISS,SGATE (via ISS and then a satgate)

Therefore, you can use :-

UNPROTO CQ via ARISS
UNPROTO CQ via ARISS,SGATE

The important thing is to get the "ARISS" part right

Andrew,

To clear any confusion, exactly what is the correct unproto path to use as
you would need to enter into a d7 etc?

Has anyone had any luck in being heard by PC-SAT rather than ISS? I see on
FindU heard stations on ISS http://www.ariss.net in Australia but none on
PCSAT http://pcsat.aprs.org

Thanks
Ian
