[OZAPRS] SEQ APRS - I tried

Hi Ray,
I can understand the national interest in this, I am hoping that when I
drive my vehicle into NSW and VIC I create zero disruption from my VHF
setup.  So with that in mind there might be some cross posting between the
groups.  The intention was to try and divert the SEQ VHF specific issues
off
this list, but if people don't mind the QRM, then I will start to rattle
some cages, make phone calls etc, etc.

It seems to me that the Vk3 model is something to aspire to, any
objections
to that observation from other Vk4 people?

I would suggest that APRS problems in VK4 are not unique to that region
and
users want info/advice from as many users as possible, not just a handful
in
a small area.

In a similar vein, solutions found in SEQ may be applicable elsewhere.

APRS is of nation-wide interest with common, nation-wide frequencies (HF,
VHF) and numerous interstate travellers, so we should have national
solutions, for the good of APRS.

I think Andrew hit the nail on the head with a comment along the lines of
"not another mailing group".

OZAPRS is underutilised so why fragment the users it has.
