Hi Peter

Still concerned about the possible excessive telemetry use including
possible excessive beaconing bouncing around adding to those beacons
already
bouncing around SEQ. If everyone operates gentlemanly by the "Rules" it
may
work but sadly as has happened in the past there are those who do not.

A beacon announcing a voice repeater frequency whilst it may sound a great
idea one wonders just how many of those operating APRS mobile whilst
passing
through this area are in the position to actually read the contents of a
beacon?
Locals should already if interested know the frequency.
Whilst I must admit I often forget I do usually look in the call book
prior
to leaving on a trip for any repeaters in the areas that I would be
travelling through.

You hit it right on the spot this is already happening perhaps one of our
biggest problems the other being parameters used by some operators.

>Struggling a bit to understand how to stop lots of small footprint digis
>Echoing the same packets until they reach an I-Gate. I would appreciate
any
