Hi Tony,   

Correct - I wrote them down in the wrong order :-(     
Depends on personal preference as to what you use - if you look at the
PMON
screen of a D700 you'll see both GGA and RMC strings from the GPS being
used
to compile the posit data, so all combinations are valid, depending on
what
you want to see.

I think you will find GGA contains Altitude and position and RMC has Speed
and position amongst other things.. For APRS I generally use RMC and if
the
devices are capable of more I will also run GGA as well ..
