Gday,

It's been great to see an increase in HF APRS over the past week. A few
station need to review their HF tracker parameters, it's all about
experimenting and learning what works best and what doesn't. If you want
information on HF APRS visit
http://www.aprs.net.au/hf_aprs_information.htm
and for TinyTrack settings see http://www.aprs.net.au/tt_settings.htm.

It's worth remembering that on HF you potentially share the channel with
everyone else in the world.

Frequency change project.

VK3RMK-1 and VK2RBY-1 (ex VK2RO-1) have changed frequency to 145.175MHz
and
are working well. VK2RO is acting as a receive only IGate to provide a
data
feed from VK2RBY-1.

Tomorrow (12/04/07) VK3RLE-1 will be changed to 145.175Mhz, however this
digi will be isolated from the network until VK3RMG-1 is changed in the
next
month or so.

VK3RAW-1, VK3RGR-1, VK3HJQ-1, VK3XJB and VK3KAW-1 will change frequency on
Tuesday the 17th of April.

This will leave a small cell in central Victoria and North to Echuca still
on 144.900Mhz. These stations, VK3RMG-1, VK3RCV-1, VK3YWY-1, VK3ECH-1 and
VK3JFK-5 will be the last to change. It is expected they will change next
month.

In summary all Southern Victoria, Gippsland, Western Victoria, SE SA,
North
West and North Eastern Victoria will be on the National Frequency after
the
17/04/07. Central Victoria (Bendigo, Kyneton, Seymour, Yea, Murchison etc)
and Echuca will be the last to change at a date to be announced.

Cheers

Richard

VK3JFK
