[OZAPRS] Painting Aluminium

I should have mentioned to use breathing apparatus for all methods... at
least a filter...

We have managed to undercoat a plane... The person painting had a remote
air
supply and the assistant wore particle filter and stayed well away... We
were doing the full job with two-part epoxy. A vacuum at 20m with a pipe
and
a full hood seems to work well. I will get the photos out...

The good thing is that it is hard to scratch this stuff with a
screwdriver!

The other better option... Get it powder coated...

Third option may be best but not easiest. TAKE GREAT CARE using 2-Pack
epoxy. It's bad shit! Carcinogenic and all! I lost a very good friend to
cancer, traced directly to his work as a aircraft surface finisher.

If its only a casual job, use a spray can etch primer as in 1. (Chromium
based spray is also "not good" for you.). WEAR A PARTICLE MASK AT LEAST!!

If it's a big job, get it done at a professional spray shop as in 3,
'specially if it has to be outdoors
