My Trimble receiver locks in a minute or less from warm power up 
(i.e. after main power reapplied but with backup battery). From 
totally cold it's 5 minutes or so. But I use two AAs as the docs say 
it needs 3V for the backup supply, I dunno if using 9V makes any
difference.
