Maybee its a good time for us to check our path settings.. This last
weekend
spent at home watching everybody else moving about the place has produced
some interesting observations. Particularly path settings on mobiles that
are incorrect.. Beacon timings are another thing..

Its not allways easy to speak on behalf of the whole country so in a
general
sense these sugestions are correct and at least will/should work as all
rounders.. Perhaps Richard 3JFK will comment further on this. I wont go
into
beacon timings in depth but surfice to say that once evey 30-60 seconds on
HF is a bit much people..

Check your path settings. You may well be blasting away to nowhere and
getting digipeated very little if at all..

VHF mobiles RELAY,WIDE prefered or similar acording to local requirments
HF mobiles GATE,WIDE

Ive seen situations where these are reversed with GATE on VHF and RELAY on
HF with WIDE3-3 to boot. These frames wont get there most of the time
unless
you make it direct into an Igate folks..
