[OZAPRS] Path checks

I agree with you Tony.

 

Paths for VK especially the south east of VK (VK1,VK2,VK3,VK5 & VK7)
should
be set to RELAY,WIDE or RELAY,WIDE2-2 at most for VHF and GATE,WIDE or
GATE,WIDE2-2 for HF.

 

I've seen some really weird paths here over the past few months that
indicate to me there are new operators about who need some assistance to
get
it right. Cause they aren't getting out! If you see someone with a weird
path give em a call and help em out. I'm sure they will appreciate it.

 

Beacon times also need looking at. VHF mobiles should set there beacon
rate
to 2 minutes. For HF mobiles it needs to be set to no less than 5 minuets,
10 minutes is ideal.

 

Paths and Beacon rates are important for a functionally great APRS
network.

They will be even more important when are all on the one channel.
