[OZAPRS] Getting UI-VIEW to Igate ISS traffic ?

As has been said before, these DO decode and they place an icon in the
middle of the world map
at 00.00.00 000.00.00

It is used as a "marker" to tell people if ISS is on/off mode etc.

It is a MIC-E compressed location, where the destination field in the ax25
field is used
as part of the posit.

Hence P0PPP0 and 'vX
l
'/] are used to decode to the lat and lon

Chris, zoom out to the world. You will see it there.

Chris ..

These frames are the classic Poppo frames from ISS .. They dont contain any
position info .. They are not even APRS compliant really .. Have a look at
the destination callsign .. P0PPP0 .. Whats that ?? It does not even start
with AP ..
Maybee selecting the "relaxed frame check" option in Ui-View would help but
I dont really understand what your looking for out of the frame . The
relaxed frame type check is in the Misc menu in setup ..

What you mean by "However, none of this traffic is showing up in UI-VIEW" I
am not sure .. What are you looking for ?
The frame will probably show up in the terminal window as opposed to the
monitor window at the bottom of the screen if you have it enabled .. Getting
a posit out of the Poppo frames would be a miracle because theres no posit
there..

You have to remember that ISS is used by other AX25 users not just APRS ..
Theres other services on there and its not just a APRS digi ..

Hello all,

In the continuing thread of rebuilding my APRS operations ☺ …

When monitoring 145.800 MHz with a TNC and AGW Packet Engine, I can hear
traffic from ISS. Eg:

1:Fm RS0ISS-3 To P0PPP0 Via SGATE,WIDE <UI pid=F0 Len=31 >[04:48:57]
'vX
l
'/]APRS/BBS & PACKET ON

 1:Fm RS0ISS-3 To P0PPP0 Via SGATE,WIDE <UI pid=F0 Len=31 >[04:49:58]
'vX
l
'/]APRS/BBS & PACKET ON

 1:Fm RS0ISS-3 To P0PPP0 Via SGATE,WIDE <UI pid=F0 Len=31 >[04:51:00]
'vX
l
'/]APRS/BBS & PACKET ON

 1:Fm RS0ISS-3 To P0PPP0 Via SGATE,WIDE <UI pid=F0 Len=31 >[04:52:01]
'vX
l
'/]APRS/BBS & PACKET ON

 1:Fm RS0ISS-3 To P0PPP0 Via SGATE,WIDE <UI pid=F0 Len=31 >[06:25:00]
'vX
l
'/]APRS/BBS & PACKET ON

(The above 5 packets were displayed using AGWTERMTCP).

However, none of this traffic is showing up in UI-VIEW, so of course it
never gets Igated to the internet.

Presumably there’s at least one more setting that I need to tweak… but I
can’t find it at present. Any hints?
