We can hear VK5RMB Voice most mornings. So I'd expect it would be a
problem if we has a half decent digipeater here.

I'll keep this in mind.

For the Igate, I been offered a site very close to the intersection of
the Calder and Sturt Hwy, which has a mast and excellent takeoff to all
points of the compass...and further away from the pagers than I am.

For a digi. there is a 2m beam at about 200ft on a tower some 17km East
of Mildura, pointing about SE. This would certainly cover the Sturt Hwy
to Robinvale and beyond. It may even cover some of the Calder Hwy
further South into Vic.
There is talk of siting a new digi at Robinvale (if needed to extend the
range mainly further East).

The fact that it will not be on the Victorian ARPS frequency might be a
bonus for those further South.

To the West, there has been 2 digipeaters in the past, but I'm unsure if
access to either site is still available. But I'm sure something can be
organised to cover the Sturt Hwy West to VK5.

Agreed.
