I’m currently running an SCS DSP Tracker, sitting on 7.048.60. Will leave it there for a few days and see what I here

Hi Graeme,

The two centre frequencies are 1430 Hz apart so the APRS activity is not disturbed by all the connected mode activity from the PMSs, KA-nodes, BPQ-nodes and the BBS.

Cheers,

Gerard - VK2IO

Thanks Gerard. That’s the same link that Josh sent me privately.

Why the 2 slightly different frequencies?

Hi Josh,

Checked the IGate log here and you're not in it yet. The path would be via ground wave so it would help to not be in an RF hole. NVIS propagation is limited at the moment.

Beacon rate here is once per hour with two packets in the beacon.

For testing on receive, tune to 7047.17 kHz where there are many beacons and a lot of packet activity from several stations in VK2 and one in VK4. My IGate operates there too.

Graeme, the HF Gateway Table on the aprs.net.au <http://aprs.net.au/hf/hf-gateways/> site is out of date.

The most current one is in the archive here <https://web.archive.org/web/20161029215543/http:/aprs.net.au/hf/hf-gateways/> and it has the correct frequencies.

Cheers,

Gerard - VK2IO
