[OZAPRS] Fw: 40M APRS frequencies

Thanks Tim. With a bit of luck I’ll be heading back into the area this coming winter for a quick visit and should by then have a tracker capable of being switched between 2m and 40m. I joined VKS737 too many years ago using a borrowed radio for a trip across Madigan’s but without HF since.

Standard licence too... I’ve done 2 trips to the red centre and deserts using only 40m and a very small antenna ( outbacker stealth ) connected to my 857d with tiny Track 3 and had very successful coverage, though this was when Larry had his gear running in SA, but used to get many into the other gates as well in Tas and Sydney.
I need to fire 40m aprs up again !

Thanks Scott. I’ll have a listen for more than 10 minutes at various times of the day to see if I can hear beacons at my QTH for starters.

Do you know how useful 40m APRS is across Australia, particularly around the centre?

That's why I'm on 40m too! 😉 the shift up in frequency was to align with the WIA band plan. As I've mentioned on this many times, I'm beaconing every 10 minutes with a maximum power output of 25w pep into a Hustler 5-BTV

That frequency is your dial frequency for using 1600/1800Hz tones, however as I'm using a PK232MBX with DSP filter (after market addition from Timewave) my dial frequency is 510hz higher at 7.049110 LSB to compensate for the 2110/2310Hz tones of the PK232MBX!

I'm using APRX with a 40m and a 2m ports, so anything heard on either is forwarded directly to T2TAS.

Thanks Scott for confirming the frequency listed in the gateway table. As my licence is only standard I don’t currently have access to 30m.

Current frequency for 40m is 7.048600 LSB (1600/1800Hz) as far as I'm aware there's only VK2IO & myself (VK7HSE) but it's possible there's more but that's all that I'm aware of...

Question now answered - I’ve been directed to the HF Gateway table rather than the obsolete HF APRS frequency table on the same site.

Is the HF frequency table shown on aprs.net.au, particularly for the 40M band but also the 20M band, correct? 7036.00 appears to be outside the current WIA band plan digital frequencies.

      Thanks,
