Norm

Tell me what hardware you have now

I can advise

Best way is a raspberry Pi with TNCx

Add a radio

Run xastir

If you in the know you can even run a simple perl script to relay data from a TNC to the APRS network

Please let me know what freq u want to run.

I see also you can run an rtl SDR dongle as a radio

If I was doing this I would go

+ raspberry Pi running raspian
+ raspberry Pi camped on home wifi
+ rtl SDR dongle as the reciever
+ you can run xastir but that's more I see as conventional serial TNCs
+ you can also run a TNCx on top of the Pi if you want
+ some choices to make, antenna, coax, radio, TNC , little computer, os, program or script

I run heaps of pi's here

Use them for

GPS
Perl
Web server
Serial Comms
GSM
XASTIR
LCD
cgi-bin

Tell me what u have I can advise what u need to do next

Andrew
