Yep 30 meters HF only way to go Ray, will be heading that way again in early
Feb, I run both VHF 145.175 and HF 10.147.6 Usb, works a treat

Thanks Liz,

I sort of figured the deafness problem<grin>. Pity really because with rcc
in the picture vhf coverage "out west" would be pretty good. 
Regardless I'm now figuring how to run with 30m for such trips.
