[OZAPRS] How much power do you use while HF mobile?

I ended up at bunnings, and ended up with what I knew worked - welding rods! Only they had packs of 3.2mm rods on special ($2 a pack!), so I went those, and filed down the lower inch of a rod so it JUST fits into the top of the antenna - no way that sucker is coming out now! And I have 19 spares that just need similar treatment, and they're there if I need replacements ;)

Cheers,

DG

I scoured homewares, then autos, then camping - and my three possibilities were a dish drainer from homewares, a bread toaster thingy from camping, or the little fly netting thingy from camping.. If i'd had a heap of spare time, a 4mm tent peg could have been made to work, with a file ;) But a crocheting hook, awesome! I'll expand my search criteria a bit while I'm out around nowra this morning :)
