Howard, I guess if you were listening to an occupied CW frequency when 
first were licensed you would not have mindlessly started transmitting 
on top of the occupied frequency. This is what receive less trackers 
including your quenchless radio and  Byonics TT4 do whether in VHF or HF 
mode.

Ray, you are correct the full TNC's are a good solution, but how many of 
the current crop of APRS operator purchase a TNC rather they take the 
tracker option and contribute to channel  congestion and packet 
retransmission. If you dont have a receiver on the transmitting 
frequency you should not be transmitting on that frequency. So the 
problem just propagates into the future.

I acknowledge that Trackers are generally small and able to be 
integrated easily but without the receiver its a non compliant solution.

With that I go back to lurk mode
