Hi David,

The RTG has no receiver so you can't wait until the squelch closes. It 
transmits regardless! There is a high likelihood of squashing a fellow 
ham's packet.

Imagine the chaos if we jumped on our local 2m repeater and started 
transmitting without listening first.
