Go for it Howard you will love it, I am on a trip at the moment vk4un-15 have travelled from the Sunshine Coast down via Dubbo off to Port Augusta and on the way to Woomera Alice Springs, on the way to Darwin then off to the west and so far I haven't had a spot that doesn't work on 30 meters

I use a IC706 and a tiny tracker through a Terlin perth plus antenna

  I can hear lots of traffic on 10.1476 and it is whetting my appetite for HF APRS - also VHF APRS is pretty useless up here (Kuranda and gulf country). I have done plenty on VHF with D700, D7, VX8R and FoxDelta digi but nothing on HF before.

   

  I will need to connect to my HF rig via the audio in/out and was wondering what others are using in this configuration that works well?
