[OZAPRS] VK3CV-1

Hi all

Can anyone advise me what is happening regarding VK3CV-1, as it is (when 
operating) the main i gate that I as well as my fellow APRS enthusiasts 
connect with here in Geelong Victoria.
In its absence, my  WX APRS has made spasmodic connection with VK7 
stations, however based upon the tyranny of distance this is less than 
reliable!.
I do not seem to be able to connect with the alternative igate VK3RMD-1. 
Is there a problem with VK3RMD-1?
I suspect that the main problem that I experience with RMD is its 
distance from my station, however I previously had reliable contact with 
RMD.
