[OZAPRS] Why doesn't Northern Tasmania gate VK3 callsigns?

I'm disappointed to find out that the only posits gated to the internet
in Northern Tasmania was being digipeated to VK3 and entering the
internet in VK3.  In the south normal operation was seen.  Please check
the call vk3jaw-7 from the Feb 1st to Feb 11.
This breaks the national APRS standard that most have been working
towards.
Why is it so????

Can it be fixed?
