[OZAPRS] Igate appliance instead of a PC

Once had a laptop with an internal battery voltage operating range from
10V to 16V, so when the internal battery died it was replaced by a cable
from an external 12V sealed lead acid battery.

If you want to try this with a laptop:

1. check the normal operating voltage range of the internal battery,
'cause giving the laptop's DC/DC converter something higher might let
the smoke out or blow an internal fuse,

2. check that the laptop firmware is happy to run despite not being
able to communicate with the battery management chip,

3. measure the current drawn and select a suitable external fuse or
circuit breaker,

4. charge the external battery externally ... don't connect an AC
supply into the laptop, since the laptop charging circuit won't work
very well with the different battery chemistry.
