It's quite frustrating and uncalled for when someone asks for help and 
the reply they get comes from someone who is completely unforgiving 
about other's mistakes or system misconfiguration, and that same person 
provides them with a load of nonsense.

Andrew, you are quickly earning yourself a bad reputation. Perhaps you 
should abandon APRS and consider playing on a train line somewhere.

Chris, have a look at the APRS Australia web site that contains answers 
to any question you will likely ask. There is general and state specific 
guides to paths, use of SSID's, beacon rates, etc, etc. 
http://www.aprs.net.au/states.php The link to the vk3 specific page 
works fine.

The majority of people on this list are helpful and provide 
encouragement for newcomers. The number of helpful contributors is N-1
