Hey, we were driving 3500km over 10 days, covering four states, I
*had* to take the aprs rig! Although since my etrex got stolen out of
the hilux ages back, i'm setting the position manually off the GPS in
my phone, so it's a little painful, so I was just turning it on as we
came near largish towns and setting the pos if i heard aprs traffic :)
what would be *really* cool, is a java app for my nokia 6110 (or is it
6120? or 6210? i dunno - the nokia navigator ;) ) that connects to one
of the aprsd's, and uses the inbuilt GPS to send my positions out..
(Have a 1GB data plan on my mobile, as I use it as a data modem for my
macbookpro :) )
Cheers,
DG

We ran to the sounds of thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder
