[OZAPRS] RE: APRS beacons sent from Mt. Kaputar near Narrabrivia Internat ional Space Station RS0ISS

Hi Ron,

I can see your point. Once digipeated by ISS and ground station...no point
beaconing again.

It was just that I wanted to make sure that I got through from that location
(1500m ASL) and I had no way of telling. Yes, I know my packet was received
by ISS (My Position) but I could not be sure if it had been put onto the
internet by a ground station because I was mobile stationary and had no PC
or Internet to confirm.

Considering there was hardly anyone on at all I considered beaconing every
30sec was acceptable. During the day the ISS link over Oz is pretty much not
utilized from what I have seen over the last 2 weeks.

In fact someone came on and sent me a message and wondered where all the
Aussies were as there was no one to be heard.

In that light, I considered 30sec in the above event for beaconing no
problem but as said, I stand corrected if I have to.

Afterall, I am still learning about APRS.

Thanks for your comments.
