Hi All,
VK2RMC-1 near Kempsey should be in within the next couple of weeks.
Installation has been seriously impacted by rain since Christmas, and
SWMBO who insisted the grass had to be cut during those rare breaks in
the rain.
I've been remotely setting up bbs/node etc for Ian VK2XB who resides in
Hay, and have suggested he might think about an APRS node on his tower.
He has 24/7 internet for the Igate. Our current stumbling block is
desense to the IRLP node at the site, but dialogue is continuing. Ian
also has a UHF repeater licence for a site in Carrathool and that site
(on top of a 120' wheat silo) might be a better option. The UHF plot of
the site is impressive. Ian is keen to provide services to AR in the
region so my gut feeling is that something will get installed down that way.
