[OZAPRS] New wheels - dare I use anything that transmits?

Falcon has a nice hole in the firewall above the steering column to allow 
cables to pass through, I assume for the police who use them.  It also has 
hole at the top of the B pillar which you can sneak a coax through, again 
I assume for the lights and antennas on a police car.  Couple that with 
the known 25 or so watts from a police radio and you would expect it to be 
fairly RF tolerant.

So boot mounting is not a problem.

G,day Terry , I have a FT-857 and D-700 in my 6 year old Outback , and no 
worries with air bags or computers , both antenna's mounted on the roo bar 

on the front ,,, in your case I would seriously look at a boot mount setup 
.

Both of my rigs are mounted on the floor under each front seat ...
