Hi,
Its good to see APRS being used for events, you state " WICEN Vic
is
running the Alpine rally in eastern Victoria "
You say that you will be using the following VK3REB-1 and VK3RGI-1
are these on the national frequency and if so can you place other short
term digit-pleaters within there coverage on a local frequency other than
the National frequency.
This would allow your event to be run and it will go without any fuss
or moaning from other users.
Any simplex frequency other than your national will work.
As I see it this is a local event held in Eastern Vic and it probably
won't rate to high on National coverage.
Another scenario, your two digi-peaters VK3REB-1 and VK3RGI-1 have
been
hit by lightening the night before your event you don't have time to
repair
them, so put some short term digis within your rally area.
Good luck
Phillip
