To add to Ian's information:

If you use the port 14579 then you don't need to use a filter if you want
to
see all VK/ZL.

Just add the following 3 servers to the APRS Server List

australia.aprs2.net:14579
australia2.aprs2.net:14579
newzealand.aprs2.net:14579
