[OZAPRS] New to list

Hi Shaun,

Take a look at the OpenTrack, it's an alternative to the tiny track and
you
may find it more suited to what you want. http://n1vg.net/opentracker/

Mobile digipeaters with standard digi settings are frond upon as they do
not
guarantee network reliability (they keep moving). They can produce
excessive
QRM and packet duplication if operational within around 10Km of a fixed
digipeater.

If you wish to run a digipeater and there are no other digipeaters that
cover your local area then you could run a Fill-In (Relay Only) digi from
your home QTH.

A USB GPS may be of little use to you as nearly all APRS trackers use
RS232
connections. A mouse GPS is probably the best option if you don't want a
GPS
display. They are relatively cheap and can be powered by the tiny track or
OpenTrack.

Cheers
Richard
