[OZAPRS] VK3 APRS Network News.......

Gday,

I hope you had a great Easter break.

Here is a summary of what has been happening in the VK3 APRS Network over
the past week.

The frequency change project has been running full on steam this week.
Digipeaters VK3RAW-1, VK3RGR-1, VK3HJQ-1 and VK3RLE-1 have all been
successfully moved the National APRS Frequency.  IGate VK3KAW will be
moved
to the National APRS Frequency next week.

This leaves Digipeaters VK3RMG-1,VK3RCV-1, VK3YWY-1, VK3ECH-1 and IGate
VK3JFK-5 on 144.900Mhz. These digis are all located in Central & North
Central Victoria and will be changed in the next few weeks if all goes
well.

New IGate;
A new Receive Only IGate has been installed at Tocumwal. 
The IGate VK3RO will provide additional redundancy for APRS-IS access in
NE
Victoria and SE NSW.

New Digipeater Installed;
A new temporary test Digipeater has been installed at Mt Moliagul. It's a
Relay only fill-in digi which is expected to provide coverage in the hilly
areas around St Arnaud, Dunolly and the Sunraysia Hwy. Coverage in these
areas have been a very patchy in the past.

The digipeater equipment and site was offered for APRS use by the Midland
Amateur Radio Club. I wish to thank MARC for their offer.

APRS Email & QRZ Message Services;
The SAMAIL and SAQRZ server is experiencing an intermittent problem.
If you are not able to access these services it may be because they have
stopped responding and require a reboot.
I'm working on the issue.
