Yes, I am familiar with the USB TNC and it is a grerat product.

Yes, it is a one-man outfit just like I was with the MIM module
that started it all. But I quickly found out that I personally
was not suited for dealing with all the user problems and
headache of everyone's implementation issues, so I gave up and
admire anyone that keeps up with it.

We need enterpreneurs like him to save us all the time of
building our own... But in many cases, these guys are only
offering the fruits of their labors to save others from
re-inventing the same wheel in every shack. Often these guys
did not intended to take on a full support role...

So I don't know the details of the support issues on this TNC,
but I would hope that everyone is so appreciateive of an
individual taking on such a project and will give him the
benefit of the doubt.

I hope his product succeeeds since all hams like cheap parts and
kits and projects. And I hope that a few problems do not become
such a headache that he drops out of the business like some of
the others...

Also, I hope this his AGWPE tracking software becomes viable,
since we need a new author in APRS to continue further
development and not just settle on another vehicle tracking
system aspect of APRS only, but who implements the full original
protocol as a communications system as it was intended. Bob
