I could hear a lot of faint APRS signals here yesterday - more than 
usual.   Maybe conditions for HF really are on the improve.  However my 
elderly 1287 decoded only the usual HF stations around VK plus a mobile 
or two.

Planning to head for Arkaroola for most of next week.    Will run HF 
APRS if I can finish the station installation in time.   (I sometimes 
wonder whether getting a new vehicle is worth the trouble once you try 
to find places for all the essential toys - it's not getting any easier).
