That's correct and a common occurrence.
It's HF and we share the frequency with the Whole World!

You don't see it on APRS-IS very often.
APRS-IS gives you only a very limited summarised view of what is happening
on RF, because it only stores the first instance of a heard packet, which
comes normally via VHF or the internet, not HF.

VK3MY often gets emails from other APRS station operators around the world
saying "Hey I see you on my map!". A lot of the digi's Mheard lists in VK3
have US and EU calls in them from HF packets gated from VK3MY-4
