Hi Andrew,
Is this for commercial or amateur use?
It takes quite a bit of time and money to get the necessary approvals for
fitting an external antenna to an aircraft; are you prepared to pay for
access to a pre-approved fitting?
(I don't hold the IP for such a fitting myself, but I know who does, if
you're interested).
