Waypoints can only be added via front keys, there isn't a serial
interface.

Yep,
Radio, gps, and enough logic to send position reports.
Great all in one radio for much less than you could buy a separate
radio, gps and tracker.
Obviously not suitable for gating to the net, but for a local event with
say, 4 mobiles and one base with UI-View, They'd be great. 
Just wish their output was usable.
