Yes, just like RELAY used to work, but with one big difference.

With RELAY, that same digi could duplicate the same packet
several more times because it might receive the RELAY packet
from several other digis...

But with WIDE1-1, then a "WIDEn-N" digi will only digipeat it
once, no matter how many times it hears it, and so that is why
WIDE1-1 is far better than RELAY as a first hop, becase WIDE1-1
triggers the full dupe-suppression of the WIDEn-N algorithm, and
not the MYCALL only suppression of RELAY.

Again, WIDE1-1 works the same as the old RELAY, *but* it
suppresses all dupes that the use of RELAY exaserbated...
