Hi Scott and the group.. I note youve applied the recomendations from Bobs
site.. Iam curious why you have dumped the RELAY .. Yes thats part of Bobs
approach I realise.. The Mobile path your going with is pretty similar to
the fixed path except you appear to have put a WIDEn-n in front of the
WIDEn-n like Bob recomends..

Have you got enough coverage in all areas from your hillside Digis to do
this? What I mean is do your Hills based Digis have good enough coverage
in
all areas that you can do away with the odd Home based RELAY which is
often
better at picking up the low power mobiles before sending them on to the
Hillside Digis??

I am unfamiliar with your network frankly so I am probably asking silly
questions in a way.. What you have done is made your network different to
all the rest in VK .. It just makes it more complicated for travellers
round
the country who presently seem to go with RELAY,WIDE or RELAY,WIDE2-2 or
similar in mobiles.. I guess RELAY does nothing now down there.. If you
have
Hills based Digis then it will be interesting to see how the mobile
coverage
compares to how it was before you changed everything..

Like you I expect to see plenty of QRM from VK3 when they move.. We
allready
see regular frames from Mildura and VK2 as well as VK1 .. VK3 is likely
the
most busy state network frankly and as a consequence will inflict alot on
its neighbours..
