Hi All I will switch my HF station from 40M to 20M this evening to a
centre frequency of 14.10900 and give it a shot.

Hi,

VK6BBS has an HF radio on that frequency, which is a carry over from when
it
used to carry traffic between Australia and overseas, at 300bps. This
has
long since been superceded by a 9600bps backbone, into an internet
wormhole.

The 20m radio at VK6BBS is very, very idle... might as well use it! If
you can net to it (it is using a PK-232, which has slightly different
tones
to 1.6/1.8kHz), then it would form the VK6 end of an APRS network. With a
small amount of work, we can probably gate the VK6BBS HF frequency out to
VHF or UHF, too.

Regards,

Chris

Hi All

As we see from the list below we have 2 choices, is VK6BBS
running a BBS on the frequency 14.10900? If so then 14.098.3 would be the
next choice that would be a dial Frequency of 14.10000 MHz LSB or 14.09660
MHz USB this puts our signals 100Hz above and 100Hz below 14.09830 and 1.6
KHz clear of the IPB beacons.
