[OZAPRS] APRS and the space station

Hi Andrew,
Looks like it is a hit and miss business.

I have only just returned to the satellite business after a laps of about
12 years.

Even the tracking gear requires rethinking as the old system requires dos
based computer and the hardware side requires an ISA bus.

I have the tracking programs running on both the laptop and the PDA so
knowing when the station is overhead is not a problem.

When the D700 arrived I connected it to the Yagis and had no problem
getting a couple of packets through the repeater without Doppler
correction.

I would expect at least one packet to make it from the car but who knows.

I will keep trying whenever the bird is active.

David
