Know the area just wonder who you are actually copying as Andrew mentioned

that he was listening only at this stage?
Where abouts along the lake are you located?

Some years ago I was regional  communications officer Southern Tablelands 
Region for the then Civil Defence (now SES) and also a leader in the 
Goulburn search and rescue. Not sure how the lake is now possibly just
about 
empty I guess? Then full and one extremely cold winters evening we were 
called out to look for two lost police in the even colder lake waters who
in 
turn were out looking for a couple of chaps supposedly out fishing and had

not returned home. By the time we arrived there the two police and one 
fisherman were out.

Out very early next morning we started our search together with a
helicopter 
from the RAAF base in Canbera for the second fisherman he was not found.
One 
of the local farmers said that he would eventually appear on the other
side 
of the lake well a few weekends later we found the deaceasd body in almost

that exact spot the extremely cold water had kept it down all that time.

A lot warmer winters here in Brisbane than along Lake George whilst I do 
miss the area I do not miss the winters.
