[OZAPRS] 1:250K Mosaic

Yes a 702Mb ecw file ends up at 1.4Gigs. Its getting a bit large for a
single file !!. In fact Uiview is a bit limiting on the maximum file size
it can use. At least it used to be in older versions. I used to try to
load
in 1:50K topo maps at around 20Mb , which didnt work. I had to use colour
depth deduction and resolution reduction in order for these sized files to
load. I havnt tried this in later versions on uiview however. It would be
great if xastir could be made to handle the ecw format directly. Im sure
it
would be in the realms of possibility.
