Hi everyone,

A temporary test digipeater has been installed on Mt Alexander to
ascertain coverage from this site. The digi’s call sign is VK3JFK-1.

VK3RBH-1 will be switched off while this test digi is in operation.

VK3RGI-1 has been placed back on site at Carrajung for testing. It is now
running on a new radio and antenna so the coverage may have changed some
what.

There have been a few outages with the Gippsland IGate VK3HAP-1 while the
owner has been away. I believe Rhett is home now and operations should be
back to normal.

There has been some activity on HF recently as VK3ECV and VK3JFK are
operating on 7.036Mhz along with other stations from VK5 & VK2 to provide
“local” South Eastern Australian coverage for HF APRS. It has been found
that 10.115Mhz has been some what unreliable in this area due to
propagation conditions and the lack of appropriately placed Gates.

Cheers

Richard
