Hi All

Using a Kamplus the only way a packet can be digied is that the
callsign appears is the mycall alias uidigi lists if mygate is set to GATE
that will just cross port digi

If you want to check what the settings are bring up a terminal window and
type display then you can check all the settings. Even cut and past to an
email for every body to see just to make them happy you may want to sensor
out myremote etc if you do this.

Brian.. This is a bit of a pain isnt it.. Considering the station doing
the digipeating does not appear to be using callsign replacment for the
GATE Alias I guess it isnt Ui-View .. A broad statment I guess depending
on if he/she got that setup.. We all should have it setup to do Alias
substitution if we are running Ui-View really..

That aside.. I guess it may in fact be VK3MY .. Its a good time for him to
come forward I guess and prove otherwise so it eliminates this question..
I beleive Ross has enabled a ECHO or TUNE Alias on HF in recent times.. I
also am led to believe Ross runs KAMs as Digis as well..

I dont know much about KAMs at all in the digi config.. I dont think they
do callsign alias substitution.. I wonder if the route being turned on for
ECHO back to HF has had an effect on GATE being sent back to HF as well ??

All conjecture on my part as I dont know exactly what I am talking about
in the fact that I dont know much about KAMs as Digis..

Appologies to Ross if Ive got this all wrong.. Prove me wrong by all
means..

Brian.. Can you do some experiments by replacing your GATE,WIDE path with
VK3MY-4,WIDE and see if it still does the Digi and see if the signal
strength is the same as the culprit.. This may identify him if you can see
they are one of the same using this method..

73.. Stay tuned.. Tony Hunt VK5AH

Hi

The HF digipeating is still taking place.

I just drove home and I am sure that my mobile beacon was being digipeated
I have just turned on in the shack to check and can see my signal once
again being digipeated.

I have heard from others who are having similar problems.

I can only go by what I hear/see and early in the mornings VK3MY-4 is the
ONLY station that I can copy here and when I beacon I am getting my beacon
coming right back at me about 3-4 seconds later as is happening right at
this moment.

I guess there are a couple of ways to check by far the easiest is for us,
if time allows, to be at our transceivers watching whilst others beacon we
can soon see if it is our station or not that is digipeating.

Perhaps if VK3MY-4 was to consider turning his gear off for one day it
sure would eliminate VK3MY-4 if the digipeating was still taking place
whilst the station was turned off.

The best though is to watch whilst others beaconing to see if it is you
are digipeating or not.

Sorry to be a real pain in the butt, can we though get this problem fixed.
